Savoir Adore’s Official Debut- Into the Wooded Forest (2009)

In the past couple of years, electronica has been steadily creeping its way into more and more obscure corners of music. Savoir Adore has taken that to heart, blending folk, lo-fi, and pop to create a sound that can’t be pinpointed. Drawing comparisons to The Postal Service and Broken Social Scene, this band creates a sound even more distinctive in their newest release.
Brooklyn-based duo Deidre Muro and Paul Hammer’s sophomore album, Into the Wooded Forest, takes the idea of an ethereal woodland to heart, creating an album that has a sense of other worldliness at its best. In balancing the alt-country roots and the electronica sound they have become known for, they create a refreshingly unique sound, while alluding to more famous influences.
