It’s irritatingly lazy to write off A Place To Bury Strang ers as a n oise band. Yes, it’s true that guitarist/singer Oliver Ackerman owns a guitar effects company, so it’s probably inevitable that discussion of the band would center on his Death By Audio fuzz boxes. Unfortunately, particularly as they’ve dialed down the distortion a little bit on Exploding Head, that misses the point almost completely.
